If you’re a woman, and you don’t know what Spanx are, you either have 0% body fat or you've been living in an underdeveloped country the past few years.

Here’s the breakdown: Spanx (created by our hero, Sara Blakely) is basically really tight pantyhose used to smooth and suck in our worst body hangups: stomach, hips, butt, thighs.

Spanx is available in all sizes, forms, and categories—there’s even a design now for men! And, for every woman who has worn them, they’ll tell you there’s a learning curve to getting in them, and getting out of them—particularly when you really need to use the bathroom.

There’s also the share of Spanx horror stories women could share—from accidentally flashing their undergarment to strangers, to passing out from wearing them too tight and too long. But, there are few stories that could top actress Melissa McCarthy's.

McCarthy, of Molly and Mike and the hit movie Bridesmaids fame, went on the Ellen DeGeneres TV show and publicly reenacted her Spanx horror story.

Melissa, we just found another reason to love you—and we’re glad it hasn't happened to us. Yet!
