Imagine being the mother of a serial killer’s victim. What’s more, imagine finding out that the body you thought belonged to your son belonged to someone else entirely!
After 40 Years, DNA tests show that the body believed to be Michael Marino, who was thought to be one of John Wayne Gacy’s victims, is someone else entirely. The body has not been properly identified, but the new mystery victim has everyone asking difficult questions.
Michael Marino’s mother from Chicago waited nearly 40 years for answers about her son. He was listed as one of the 33rd victim of John Wayne Gacy, but his mother, Sherry Marino, always had her doubts.
She had his body exhumed in 2011 for DNA tests. The DNA test came back showing that the body is not that of her son Michael, which means there is another unidentified Gacy victim.
