William Levy became an American household name during season 14 of Dancing with the Stars (he came in third place), but he was already a huge star among Spanish-language audiences.
As a former model and reality TV star, the Cuban-American actor became popular as he successfully transitioned to acting on soap operas and in film. His hunk status was solidified when People en Espanol named him one of its “50 Most Beautiful People” in 2011, but now the the 32-year-old stud has another title: People en Espanol’s 2012 “Sexiest Man Alive”– or as the headline says in a much more exotic-sounding manner, “El Hombre Mas Sexy 2012!”
While we don’t speak Spanish so we don’t know what he said in this interview, we did find a pre-DWTS article where he said that appearing on American television fulfills one of his childhood dreams:
When I was in Cuba, when I was little I always dreamed about being here and I always dreamed about doing something in the American market, being in Hollywood, you know, so it’s good to feel that it’s getting closer and closer, my dream is getting closer and closer to be reality.
And, though we’re not multilingual (though we do know enough sign language to get ourselves in trouble), we are familiar with posting photos online, so check out some of the sizzling shots of the “Sexiest Man Alive.”
