When we think of celebrities enjoying themselves, we think of them spending their weekends indulging in party favors like drugs and alcohol. But surprisingly enough, that’s not the case for many celebrities whom, in fact, don’t drink at all.
Many celebrities who don’t drink choose not to because of past addiction issues or by personal choice.
Earlier this year, Bradley Cooper opened up to GQ’s Jan. 2014 issue about his past struggles with drugs and alcohol, explaining, “If I continued it, I was really going to sabotage my whole life.”
“The one thing that I’ve learned in life is the best thing I can do is embrace who I am and then do that to the fullest extent, and then whatever happens, happens,” he added. “The more steps I do to not do that, the farther I am away from fulfilling any potential I would have.”
Another celebrity, Jennifer Hudson, admitted on “Chelsea Lately” that she had never had a drink in her life — despite playing a heroin addict in the new movie “The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete.”
“I’ve never done anything, so it was hard to play this role. I’ve never had a drink in my life. I’m sober. I’m like, ‘Okay, this is new to me,’” she told Chelsea. “Normally as an actor, you have things to pull from. I was like, ‘I don’t know what it’s like to feel any of that.”
But Hudson isn’t the only star to admit herself sober, of course.
