#19 Béla Kiss
The Hungarian serial killer is suspected of killing at least 23 women and one man. After being conscripted to fight in World War I and rumors about his death going around, his landlord prepared to sell off his house.
When surveying the property, he found seven large metal drums on his property and curiosity prompted him to open one of the sealed containers. Once opened, the scent of rotting flesh was released.
Kiss had used the seven drums (and several others around his property) to preserve his victims’ body in methanol.
