17. Fear of Sleep (Somniphobia)
This phobia has been reported to cause extreme fear and anxiety right around when your bed-time is approaching. Somniphobia is the fear of sleep or falling asleep and can be triggered when having frequent episodes of sleep paralysis or nightmare disorder. This phobia is often called by other names such as hypnophobia, clinophobia, sleep anxiety, or sleep dread. However, not being able to have a good night’s rest is sometimes even scarier.
