20 Years Later: Kurt Cobain’s Note About Courtney Love Goes Public

Twenty years after Kurt Cobain was discovered dead inside of his Seattle home, police decided to finally release a note that was found in his wallet.

Until now, the public has never seen it.

It reads:

Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawful shredded wife,” he wrote. “even when she’s a bitch with zits and siphoning all yr money for doping and whoring…

Written on stationery from the Phoenix Hotel, the words are rather harsh compared to the suicide note Cobain presumably left behind, which said Love was a  “goddess of a wife who sweats ambition and empathy.”

Seattle Police also publicly released 34 crime scene photographs.
