44-Year-Old Woman Becomes Obsessed with Child She Met on Xbox Live, Carves His Name onto Her Arm

Jessica Carlton, a 44-year-old woman from Grand Rapids, Michigan, was arrested earlier this year when after her inappropriate obsession over an 11-year-old boy in New Jersey was uncovered. According to reports, Carlton met her child victim when they began chatting on Xbox Live in 2013, but their friendship quickly grew into something much more sinister and twister.

Carlton apparently fell in love with the boy, and became obsessed with him. She kept journals that described her sexual fantasies about him, sent explicit photos and videos of herself to him, carved his initials into the skin of her wrist.

She even travelled across states to visit him and watch him perform in a school play. According to reports she also showered him with gifts.

Michigan Live reported the disturbing details:

“Carlton kept two journals dedicated to the child: one to “memorialize her sexual fantasies” about him and another in which she wrote “I love you” each night as a tribute to him, a New Jersey detective wrote in a search warrant affidavit to search Carlton’s home, computers and car.

Authorities say Carlton carved the boy’s initials into the skin on her wrist and told him she listened to his past voicemails upon waking up each morning. She kept a collage of the child, which included photos of him as an infant, documents state.”

Carlton remains in jail with 14 counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Investigators are still looking into the extent of her obsession and contact with the minor.
