Looking for a great gift for the woman in your life? How about a gift as expensive as most people in the US make in a month. Or something that costs as much as it would take to feed 400 children in Kenya for a week.
But who cares about the kids, the house of Chanel has just announced their newest offering: a bottle of the perfume in “its rarest, most collectible form,”–setting you back a cool $4,200.
Called the Grand Extrait, the latest edition is the most expensive fragrance offered by the brand. And while the formula is the same as the version you can pick up at duty-free, the bottle itself is crafted in a mold with the aid of a specialized glassmaker and then placed in a “hand-assembled, artisan-crafted case.”
I guess the new face of Chanel, Brad Pitt, must feel ok about the brand’s extravagance, he certainly does his part to support global charities.
