Afroman Remakes ‘Because I Got High’ with Positive Spin to Support Marijuana Reform

If you were listening to music on the radio back in 2001, chances are you probably heard Afroman’s hit “Because I Got High” at least a handful of times.

The original song lyrics painted marijuana enthusiasts as irresponsible and lazy folks who couldn’t get their lives together because of their smoking habits. But now Afroman has teamed up with National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws and Weedmaps to remake the classic with a positive take to shed light on all the benefits of making marijuana legal.
