Every loving parent’s only hope is to see their children grow up to be happy and successful; at least, that’s what my mom always tells me.
For Niek van Keulen, he still longs for this even after losing his 13-year-old daughter, Anna, in a tragic accident. He is helping to fulfill Anna’s final wish on Earth — to become famous for her talent.
In the video above, you’ll see and hear Anna playing the Downton Abbey theme “Did I Make the Most of Loving You” on her family’s piano.
“The movie was made in late August at our home, in Tilburg,” Van Keulen told a news organization in the Netherlands. “It was just before her thirteenth birthday, you can see the balloons hanging.”
Needless to say, Anna was a very gifted teenager.
Van Keulen hopes by posting this video on YouTube that the world will get to see that for themselves. He has made it clear that he is not interested in doing interviews because “…it’s not about me, it’s about Anna.”
Dutch to English translation: “My daughter Anna wanted to be famous . Now she suddenly deceased … Help her become famous by looking!”
Anna passed away from head injuries she sustained after being run over while riding her bike to school.
It’s almost as if this final recorded song is a tribute to her life, one that was cut short far too soon. What a beautiful memory to have of his talented daughter. We can’t stop listening to it.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.
