Indiana University Lockdown – Developing Report

LOUISVILLE Ky. (Reuters) – Indiana University Southeast declared a campus lockdown on Thursday, and warned students to take shelter because of an armed person on campus, the school said on its website.

“There is an armed individual at large on campus,” the university said. “Trust your instincts and take shelter in the nearest available room and lock the door, if possible.”

The university said police were investigating the report and searching for a white male wearing light colored shorts and a camouflage backpack.

Indiana University Southeast is located in New Albany, Indiana, just across the Indiana border from Louisville, Kentucky.
