Family’s Christmas Cruise Turned into Nightmare After They Made a Horrifying Discovery

The holidays are a magical time, and that’s exactly what the Davis family was expecting when they boarded a cruise ship on Christmas Day, a magical time.

The first few days of the family’s trip were amazing as they described it to Fox 4, but on the third night aboard the Carnival Ecstasy ship it turned into a complete nightmare. Matt and his wife Susan were heading to the 10th floor to have dinner, but on their way over they saw something they would never be able to forget. Blood covered an entire elevator door and the Davis’ said they could smell and hear it dripping down like rain.

Staff from the boat tried to keep the guests calm as they too tried to figure out exactly what happened. Nearly an hour later, that section of the boat was blocked off and everyone began to talk. According to Matt: “A crew member or somebody was inside or behind that wall when the elevator came down, and I don’t know what happened, but something terrifying happened.”

A police reported that 66-year-old Jose Sandoval Opazo, an electrician aboard the ship was the one who died that night.

Carnival has offered to pay for therapy sessions for the Davis family.
