Celebrities Unleash Their Inner Marilyn Monroe…and How You Can, Too

There is a reason why Marilyn Monroe is still relevant 50 years after her death: the girl had some serious style. Sure, her charm and talent played a large role in shooting her to super stardom, but it is her iconic look that has really stood the test of time. In today’s world where fashions come and go, few looks endure and Marilyn’s is certainly one of them. This is apparent in the hordes of women who have tried on and adopted Marilyn’s look, with some even going the distance and donning the same style clothes and beauty mark.

Allure Magazine has some tips on how to achieve the classic look. The most obvious one is lightening and curling your locks, but if you don’t want to make that drastic a change, a few make-up and skin-care tips will do the trick. The dewy skin can be achieved with a moisturizer that works with your skin type and a well-placed highlighter. Put on some fire-engine red lipstick, black eye-liner winged at the ends, and lengthen those eye-lashes with mascara. Voila! You’ve perfected the Marilyn look. Want to add a beauty mark and wear some bling? We say go for it!
