Charlie Sheen’s Sitcom Anger Management Renewed

After Charlie Sheen’s very public exit from CBS’s Two and a Half Men, fans waited to see if he could make a comeback with FX’s Anger Management.

The results are in, and it looks like Charlie Sheen is back to “winning.” The Anger Management premiere broke ratings records as the highest-rated prime-time cable debut for a comedy series ever (excluding kids shows).

Halfway through the show’s initial 10-episode run, its just been picked up for an additional 90 episodes!

Sheen commented that the news is as “exciting as hell,” and optimistically added “I don’t think 90’s gonna be enough.”

With the probation period behind them, FX plans to make Sheen’s real life dad, Martin Sheen, a recurring cast member on the show. In an episode airing on August 16, he’ll play the father of Charlie Goodson (Charlie Sheen’s character). The casting is aimed at making the show more “multi-generational” and “family friendly” to viewers.
