A pub chef in Stockton-on-Tees, England recently created the biggest, meatiest burger we’ve ever seen.
Weighing in at a whopping 70 pounds, the burger consisted in part of 48 lbs of beef, 4 lb of cheese, 2 lbs of mayo and two 20-inch wide buns, according to UniLadMag. It had three meat patties, each of which took nearly five hours to cook.
The pub’s landlord explained the hardest part of the process was “getting two 20 inch buns specially made. Luckily we managed to find a bakery in Hartlepool that had an oven that was big enough.”
Graham Harker, the chef who brought the meaty creation together, smashed the previous record set by a 45 pound burger, created by The Bond Hotel in Blackpool, England.
As for the eating part: “The pub was absolutely packed” the landlord explained “We shared out the burger and the dogs ate really well that night.”
