This powerful Super Bowl ad is sure to give you the chills. It’s the first-ever ad to address the issue of domestic violence.
Typically, we’re used to seeing silly, tasteless ads during the game. But this one is definitely an exception.
The ad is awfully similar to a story we recently published about a woman who called 911 to report a case of domestic abuse, under the guise of ordering pizza to not arouse any suspicion. What a dispatcher first believed was a prank call turned out to be a cry for help.
“When it’s hard to talk, it’s up to us to listen,” say words that appear at the bottom of the screen.
The ad was produced by the domestic violence advocacy group NoMore.org.
