Christina Applegate Says Goodbye to Up All Night

Up All Night fans will be disappointed by yet another change on the show.

After switching from single-camera to a multi-camera platform, and the recent departure of series creator/executive producer Emily Spivey, the show is going to experience what might prove to be the biggest change to date.

The sitcom’s star, Christina Applegate, has announced she is leaving the show.

“It’s been a great experience working on Up All Night, but the show has taken a different creative direction and I decided it was best for me to move on to other endeavors,” Applegate explained. “Working with [producer] Lorne Michaels has been a dream come true and I am grateful he brought me into his TV family.  I will miss the cast, producers and crew, and wish them the best always.”

According to Deadline.com, sources have said NBC still plans to keep the show going and might bring on actress Lisa Kudrow as a possible replacement for Applegate. Others say that letting the show go altogether is also a very real possibility.
