‘Cosby’ Kid Raven-Symone Comes Out as a Lesbian

BREAKING: August 2, 2013

Raven-Symone, the child star made famous for her roles on The Cosby Show, as well as Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven! series and Cheetah Girls TV movie has finally come out via Twitter.

“I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you,” she tweeted in reference to the Supreme Court’s striking down of the Defense of Marriage Act earlier this summer.

Rumors started swirling back when The National Enquirer reported that the then-26-year-old was “shacked up with AzMarie Livingstonthe androgynous beauty recently seen on America’s Next Top Model.”  At the time Raven was starring in the Broadway production of Sister Act, and the two were reportedly living together in Raven’s $11,000-a-month New York City condo. However, at that time she dodged the public’s questions with a series of tweets:

I’m living my PERSONAL life the way I’m happiest. I’m not one, in my 25 year career to disclose who I’m dating. and I shall not start now.

My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m datings to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life.

However that is my right as a HUMAN Being whether straight or gay. To tell or not to tell. As long as I’m not harming anyone.

I am a light being made from love. And my career is the only thing I would like to put on display, not my personal life. Kisses!

According to MediaTakeOut, Raven and AzMarie broke up in September of 2012 because they “grew apart.” However, the website also reported that the word on the street was that the model was caught cheating on Raven. No word on whether or not these tweets refer to a specific person she intends to marry, or if it’s simply a general statement.
