A teacher at Southington High School in Connecticut was removed from class for what his school dubbed “unprofessional behavior.” To be more specific, he pissed his pants and attacked a student before he was hauled off in handcuffs, though not by police.
The school’s principal downplayed the incident that occurred last Thursday during first and second period classes, saying the teacher simply “behaved in an unprofessional manner… and was removed immediately from the classroom.”
WTNH reports, however, that the incident was more illicit than the school let on. An anonymous insider at the school told the station that the Spanish teacher “came into school fairly intoxicated to the point where he soiled himself. He wet himself.”
The source went on to say, “The kids were video taping it and he proceeded to pin a student up against the wall. He did make physical contact with a student.”
When confronted, school officials would not confirm any information, including if the Spanish teacher was intoxicated as the source claims. Assistant Superintendent Karen Smith refused to say what would happen to the teacher, only that they are investigating what happened.
Southington police say no incident report was filed. Parents complain that the school is trying to sweep the incident under the rug.
