A man suspected of breaking into and trying to steal jewelry from a stranger’s house was found sleeping in the bed of the person whose home he had broken into.

Dion Davis was discovered snoozing by a cleaning lady who promptly called the police upon finding him on the alleged victim’s bed on September 8.

He even had the loot right next to him as he dreamt away.

“He was passed out with a bag full of stolen jewellery next to him on the bed and didn’t even notice the deputies taking pictures!” a police spokesman said.

The 29-year-old has been charged with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and is being held in jail on a $10,000 bail.

The incident took place in Sarasota County, Florida.
