On Friday, February 14, 2014, actress Ellen Page, 26, proudly came out during her Human Rights Campaign speech at the LGBT youth conference in Las Vegas.
“I’m here today because I am gay,” she told the crowd.
A little over two months later, she visited Ellen DeGeneres to discuss how her life has changed since making the decision to live authentically and what it was like to stand at the podium and tell the world who she really was.
Needless to say, Page is remarkable.
We hope she serves as inspiration for the countless people in the world who feel they don’t have a voice or can’t be themselves.
