Emmys Fashion Trend- A Look Back at Last Year’s Hottest Color

This year’s Emmys Awards are almost here and we are so excited to see who the big winners of the night will be. Even more exciting? All the red carpet fashion, of course!

One of our favorite things about the night is oogling at (and okay, many times criticizing) all the dresses, jewelry and hairstyles the celebs rock for the big event.

And we love when we see trends emerging amongst the attendees. So to get us ready– and because we’re impatient and need our fashion fix now – we decided to look back at one of the big trends of last year.

The 2011 Emmys saw red hot celebs rocking red hot dresses on the red carpet. Everyone from Lea Michele to Kate Winslet and more graced the event in the look-at-me hue, easily making it the winning color of the night.

Also included in the list of ladies who wore the daring color were actresses Kerry Washington and Adrianne Palicki, and E! News host Giuliana Rancic, who wore a sultry Roberto Cavalli Dress.

But who wore the color best?

Nina Dobrev of The Vampire’s Diary was an absolute knockout when she stepped out in a strapless Donna Karan gown. The hourglass shaped dress featured a detailed hemline and was accessorized with Neil Lane jewelry and a Judith Leiber clutch.

What will be the color of the night at this year’s Emmys? We’ll be sure to keep an eye out. In the meanwhile, share your predictions with us in the comment section below!
