An Exclusive Look at the New Mercedes-Benz B-Class
The reputation of Tesla’s Model S seems to have caught the attention of Mercedes-Benz.
With a base price of $41,450, the manufacturer’s B-Class Electric Drive is equipped with a Tesla drivetrain and will hit American showrooms come summertime.
The vehicle is capable of traveling 85 miles per charge and will also be eligible for the $7,500 Federal tax credit, which would bring the price down to about $35,000.
In the video above, national automotive expert Nik Miles gives you an exclusive look at the car designed with the help of Tesla.
Mercedes alleges the 177 horsepower B-Class Electric Drive goes 0 to 60 in 7.9 seconds, putting it right up there with the BMW i3.
It will go on sale in 10 states this July, and 50-state availability is expected to follow.
