Can You Take the 335-Foot Drop of Falcon’s Fury Ride?

If you thought the Tower of Terror is horrifying, you haven’t seen anything yet. Seriously.

The Falcon’s Fury ride became Busch Garden Tampa’s newest attraction in September 2014, and if you haven’t done it yet, you will need to have one strong heart to try it out. Dropping from 335 feet, Falcon’s Fury is over 150 feet taller than the biggest structure in Disney’s California Adventure.

The brave riders are first taken atop the structure, where they get a 300-foot fall view as their seats are tilted 90 degrees. During the epic drop riders reach 60 mph and 3.5 g-force! After around 100 feet into the drop, the magnets on the structure start slowing the seats and bringing the riders back to an upright position before gradually stopping. And this attraction features lines that are long enough for a rider to really think twice before going.

The above video from The Orlando Sentinel gives a rider’s-eye-view of the experience to see for yourself.

Even if you’ve conquered some of the most terrifying water slides in the world, like the Verrückt at Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Kansas City, Kansas, this ride is in a league of its own.
