Aaron Aranza, 37, has been charged with injury to a minor after allegedly assaulting his 14-year-old daughter after discovering she intended to dance with a black friend during her upcoming quinceañera.
While practicing her dance for the celebration, Aranza became furious and kicked everyone out when he found out she chose a 15-year-old black boy as her partner.
“Are you serious?” he asked, when questioning his daughter about her actually considering dancing with the boy.
Then, he went ahead and pushed him, while shouting, “I don’t care that you’re a kid.”
According to the police report, Aranza then dragged his daughter inside the house, struck her with a belt and threw her to the floor, where she knocked her arm on a coffee table.
Documents also show that he threatened to make her live with him, despite her mother having full custody.
Currently, Aranza is in jail, pending $20,000 bail.
