As part of the #FeelNoShame Campaign, which is aimed at reducing the stigma surrounding HIV by encouraging people to speak out and talk about their personal health concerns, Prince Harry has released a video revealing one of his own biggest secrets.
“Despite the fact I laugh and joke all the time, I get incredibly nervous, anxious actually, before going into a room full of people when I’m wearing a suit” the royal reveals in the video, explaining his struggle with “crippling nerves” and intense anxiety issues.
The prince put himself in this vulnerable spot in the video made by the charity Sentebale — which he helped co-found to help children from the African nation Lesotho who are affected by Aids, disabilities and other health issues—to encourage everyone to do the same on World Aids Day, which takes place today on Dec 1, 2014.
He hopes it will be “a day in which no one should feel any shame about their secrets” and asks everyone to share their secrets throughout the day.
