What was supposed to be a normal day at school Chelsea Klepzig turned into a nightmare. The first-grader’s grandmother was waiting for her granddaughter to get off the bus when door closed on her arm. The driver who seemed to not notice continues to drive while the six-year-old hang on for her life.
Chelsea’s grandmother quickly followed the bus as she watched the little girl’s feet and legs dragged along the concrete. According to KTLA, Nearly a mile later went the bus reached its next destination the door opened and Chelsea fell to the floor. Since the incident the first-grader dragged by a school bus has been in the hospital recovering from minor injuries.
No charges have been filed against the bus driver in Forsyth County, North Carolina, and letters have been sent home to all of the students in the school system.
