Stray Dog Kept Following Her Everywhere. When I Found Out Why? Incredible!

Olivia Sievers is a flight attendant from Germany who often found herself in Buenos Aires for work. It was on one of these stopovers six months ago that she had an encounter that would change her life, and the life of a lonely stray dog, forever…

After seeing a dog alone in the street, animal-lover Olivia couldn’t resist giving it a pet and a bit of food. The dog was clearly very grateful — so much so that he followed her all the way back to her hotel! She explained to Noticiero Trece: “I tried to change my way as I didn’t want him to follow me to the hotel but it was not possible he always followed me so I tried [to wait] one hour but he always watched me and followed me. He was really happy that somebody gave him attention.”

The pooch settled into a spot in front of the hotel, and Olivia gave him an airline blanket to keep him warm, then headed home to Germany. The manager of the hotel kept a watchful eye over him, but he made it very clear that he wasn’t going anywhere until the new love of his life returned!

From that point on, any time Olivia visited Buenos Aires over the coming months the dog would always be there to greet her at the hotel. Feeling sad about his plight, she even arranged for someone to adopt him in the city, but he escaped and made his way back to the same spot to wait for her. By now Olivia realised that the pup had fallen for her, and the good news was that she felt the same way!

She made the decision to adopt him herself, flying him all the way to Germany. Now named Rubio, the loyal dog doesn’t have to worry about never seeing his beloved owner again, and he even has two new playmates to hang out with in the form of Olivia’s other dogs!
