This one feels like it came straight out of a made-up Hollywood story, but this love tale is as real life as they come.
Brittney Husbyn and Briggs Fussy have attended two weddings together — one in which they served as the flower girl and the ring bearer, and another 20 years later, in which they served as the bride and groom.
The two newlyweds attended the first wedding all those years ago and then went their separate ways, completely unaware of the other, until they met again in college. The two had a class together, and Husbyn thought she recognized Briggs from a picture she had hanging in her home from the wedding. So one day during class, she decided to say the following:
“I think I have a picture of you on my wall at home,” a moment Briggs finds significant, saying “I didn’t even know her before she turned around in class and told me that.”
That unconventional introduction led to a first date, which led to five years of courtship, which led to their wedding.
Talking to My Fox 9, the couple revealed they’re big on fate, with Husbyn even sharing the story of how her picture had been right in front of Briggs all these years.
““It was funny, the first time I ever went over to his house his mom whipped a picture off her wall and said ‘I’ve had a picture of you up in my house forever.”’ She said. “It’s fun to have something special like that to look back on.”
As for the flower girl and ring bearer for this couple’s wedding, we don’t think they’ll be having a repeat of this love story. Husbyn informed reporters the kids are cousins.
