To mark 50 years of James Bond films, those responsible for the 007 series are declaring October 5, 2012, “Global James Bond Day.”
The date is connected to the first film release Dr. No, which occurred in 1962.
A day-long series of events will include an online and live charity auction, a global survey to discover the favorite Bond film by country, a film retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, a Music of Bond night in Los Angeles, and an exhibition titled “Designing 007: 50 Years of Bond Style,” at the Toronto Film Festival.
The latest Bond film, Skyfall, hits theaters on November 9th of this year. Watch the trailer for it below!
