This Guy Makes Art from Homeless Signs
Willie Baronet has a fascinating story about how he came to buy and collect signs from the homeless.
The SMU professor has been approaching the less-fortunate on the streets for more than 20 years, and has used the signs to create mounted exhibitions in shows across the country.
He estimates spending around $6,000 on the hobby.
One sign in particular reads: “Have you ever felt invisible before?”
This summer, Baronet will take a 31-day excursion across the country to collect signs while filming a documentary about his projects.
