Here in America, drivers have a hard time figuring out traffic, despite being provided with countless stoplights and signs directing them where to go.
So, what would happen if an intersection lacked stoplights? We don’t even want to imagine the kind of chaos that would erupt.
But in Meskel Square in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, thousands of drivers seem to be cruising along just fine without anyone or anything telling them when to stop or go.
Well, kind of.
In order to survive the madness, drivers have to be aggressive and not care much about cutting people off.
