You’ve probably heard about or come into contact with an animal that has been infected with rabies, but have you ever wondered what happens to humans when they become infected?
When a person contracts the virus, it can spread to the brain very quickly. Once it does, the most typical symptoms that occur are brain inflammation, sore neck, fever, headache and breathing problems.
Other effects include those that are behavioral, including hyper activity, uncontrolled muscle spasms, and aggression.
In the video featured above, you’ll see how rabies effects humans when proper treatment isn’t administered before the onset of symptoms. After symptoms are present, the virus is almost always fatal.
