When Helen Galsworthy was only 18-years-old, she wanted to end her life.
After suffering from years of cocaine addiction and depression, she decided to lay down on some train tracks and call it quits.
But just as the train approached, she began to have second thoughts about committing suicide and tried to jump out of the way. In an incredible twist of fate, Glasworthy survived — losing both of her legs below the knee.
Seven years later, she finally feels comfortable enough to talk about the awful ordeal and how she has managed to come to terms with being a double amputee.
