Step inside the quaint restaurant that honors our favorite kitty in the best way ever, basically by having her face on everything, including the food. Yup, you read it right.
Hello Kitty now has her own restaurant in Hong Kong, Hello Kitty Chinese Cuisine. As you can see in the slideshow, Hello Kitty’s beautiful face covers the windows, tables, chairs, walls and even the dumplings.
The restaurant was created by Man Kwong, a first time owner, who was negotiating with Sanrio Hello Kitty’s mother company since 2013 to get his purrfect kitty cat inspired restaurant. Sanrio has a strict leash on their little white feline and decided to be very involved in the project. They approved all 37 items on the menu.
Speaking of the menu, let’s talk food. It has a Chinese flare to it: From the dim sum to the stir fry each dish is fresh and made with high quality products.
Hello Kitty was launched in 1974 and since then has grown into over a 7 billion dollar franchise. Hello Kitty Chinese Cuisine, the world’s first Hello Kitty restaurant opens June 2015.
