We guess a cheap compact car package deal with your hotel and flight isn’t enough for some. Hertz makes fantasies come true with their newly launched “Dream Car” service. Giving people a chance to roll out of confusing airport rental areas in style, driving a new Aston Martin, Ferrari, or Tesla S class–all you have to do is shell out somewhere between $350-$1500 per day, depending on the car.
The new service will roll out to 35 locations, including Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and San Diego.
“Additionally, the Dream Cars experience extends from special reservation channels to being greeted by a Hertz representative at the airport terminal, to a rental vehicle in pristine condition,” Hertz Chairman and Chief Executive Mark P. Frissora said in a statement last week announcing Hertz Dream Cars.
The Boxster and other Porsches start at $350 a day with 75 miles allowed (49 cents for each additional mile).
An Aston Martin Vantage, Audi R8, and similar models start at $1,000 a day with 75 miles allowed and $3 per additional mile.
Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Bentleys — start at $1,500 a day with 75 miles allowed and $3 per additional mile.
Hertz currently rents vehicles from an Adrenaline collection (including Corvettes and Mustangs), Prestige vehicles such as Cadillacs and some Mercedes-Benz models, and Green Traveler Collection offers cars like the Nissan Leaf electric vehicle.
