According to the New York Daily News, 18-year-old Desiree Ann-Marie Cozzoni was so desperate to be “a normal teenager” that she gave a heroin addict custody of her toddler, only to later claim that the woman kidnapped him.
Cops say the desperate mother from St. Charles, Missouri, even wrote up phony legal documents, granting the addict, who lost custody of her own children due to her own demise, the right to care for her 16-month-old.
After leaving her son with the unemployed, homeless drug user, Cozzoni reportedly changed her phone number to make sure she wouldn’t be contacted.
Some time later, the horrible mom called the cops and claimed the woman had kidnapped her son, but police weren’t buying her story.
Court documents make clear that Cozzoni simply wanted to give up her responsibility to care for the child so that she could party. Upon being booked, cops allege they discovered a pipe with marijuana residue inside her purse.
Cozzoni was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and making a false report.
She posted $2,500 bail and was released from jail on Tuesday. It is also believed that she lost custody of her child, but is allowed supervised visits with him, according to her recent Facebook posts.
“I just wish I weren’t a bad mom,” she wrote on her Facebook page. “I wish none of this happened. I just want my baby back.”
