Will anyone adopt little three-year-old Grace before Christmas? Her foster family in England sure hopes so.
Grace was born with chronic lung disease and cerebral palsy. She was born 25 weeks premature and weighed only 1.3 pounds.
Doctors didn’t expect her to live, but she is a true fighter.
According to The Mirror, Grace regularly needs to be supervised throughout the night, gets sick often and has issues eating.
Her mother, who suffers from pre-eclampsia and a brain injury, was forced to give her up for adoption because she couldn’t take care of her.
Sadly, it’s been three years since that day and she still hasn’t been able to find a permanent loving home. Although her foster parents, Jill and Paul, care for her dearly, Jill believes, “She needs a family for Christmas. We would all love to have perfect children and Grace does face challenges in her future. But it in her own unique way, Grace is perfect.”
The couple have fostered 40 children over the past 19 years.
Grace’s foster dad agrees:
She is such a lovely little girl. Very undemanding. Anyone would be lucky to adopt her.
First4Adoption has chosen to make the case public with the #AdoptGrace appeal. Since being shared online, the appeal prompted hundreds of people from all over the world to contact the adoption agency with inquiries on providing her with the family she has been waiting so long for.
