People who suffer from mental illness are some of the most vulnerable people in the world. They also happen to be some of the most abused people in the world.
Even here in the U.S., you’ll find that most homeless people suffer from one mental illness or another. It’s not so much that we’re perfect and other countries are callous. Upholding human rights for the mentally ill is a global issue. It’s time people began to care.
