Getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is one of the greatest milestones in a celebrity’s career. Leave it to J Lo to do mark the occasion in Old-Hollywood style. Lopez wore a white cashmere top and capacious coral skirt from the Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2013 collection. The actress and award-winning singer celebrated the day with guest speakers Gregory Nava, Pitbull, Jane Fonda, Keenan Ivory Wayans, and Benny Medina.
“She looked elegant today. No one has ever worn a long gown at a ceremony in the history of the event,” says Ana Martinez, Vice President of Media Relations for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
“In 1994, Sophia Loren became the recipient of the 2,000th star on the Walk of Fame,” stated Martinez. “This ceremony marks the 2,500th star on our famous Walk and Jennifer Lopez was the obvious choice! Fans from across the world were thrilled to experience this spectacular star ceremony.”
Lopez was award the star in the Category of Recording. The star will rest in front of the W Hollywood Hotel. Lopez was surrounded by many family and famous friends on her special day.
