Visualize it and you shall receive! Kelly Clarkson has spent the past year gushing to every news interview she’s been in about her boyfriend of less than a year, Brandon Blackstock.
Last month, Clarkson raised the stakes of the relationship up a notch by telling Ellen DeGeneres on her daytime talk show, she expected Blackstock to ‘put a ring on it’ by the end of the year.
The lucky 30-year-old singer didn’t even have to wait until Christmas for her gorgeous yellow canary diamond.
Blackstock, the son of Clarkson’s talent manager Narvel Blackstock, and stepson of legendary country singer Reba McEntire, popped the question on December 14.
Clarkson revealed the news the way any celebrity would these days—through her Twitter account. “I’m engaged!” she tweeted out December 15. “I wanted y’all to know! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever.”
This will be Clarkson’s first marriage and Blackstock’s second. He also had two children from his previous marriage.
As for wedding plans, there may not be any. Clarkson told DeGeneres, “Honestly, I’ve never been the girl to plan a wedding,” adding “We will totally, probably elope.”
