Lady Gaga’s new single “Applause” has leaked a week earlier than expected.
Just as Katy Perry’s new single, “Roar” was spilled online ahead of official release, Gaga’s song escaped in very small pieces, but in very low quality.
Thanks to all of her loving and devoted fans, snippets of this single were reported to her record label to be taken down. But Gaga took matters into her own hands by issuing a pop emergency on Twitter.
On Monday morning, Gaga tweets that because of the leak, her single will be released early. The song was originally set to come out on August 19, but instead made its official debut Monday afternoon. This new single is the first track off of Gaga’s upcoming album ARTPOP, which will be released on November 11.
It is evident that “Applause” will be a great success, just as any other Gaga hit has been in the past.
Watch out: The Mother Monster is back with a bang.
Here is a video of Gaga spotted at The Abbey in West Hollywood last night promoting her upcoming album.
