“The universe operates through dynamic exchange… giving and receiving are different aspects of the flow of energy in the universe. And in our willingness to give that which we seek, we keep the abundance of the universe circulating in our lives.” – Deepak Chopra
Here at the office, we are all total suckers for feel good videos, especially ones that bring tears to our eyes.
In this commercial titled “Unsung Hero,” produced by Thai Life Insurance, the message is clear: If you want to give back to society in the greatest way possible, sometimes even the smallest acts are the kindest and richest. It simply asks viewers to “believe in good”.
An anonymous man can be seen selflessly helping the community around him without ever expecting anything in return for his small (and large) contributions.
“What does he get in return for doing this every day?” the narrator asks.
He then answers: “He gets nothing. He won’t be richer. Won’t appear on TV. Still anonymous. And not a bit more famous. What he does receive are emotions. He witnesses happiness. Reaches a deeper understanding. Feels the love. Receives what money can’t buy. A world made more beautiful.”
While it’s every person’s duty to give back to society (as much as they can), many people choose not to.
Those who do are usually people you never hear about.
They go unnoticed. These everyday heroes are hidden in plain sight. They remain anonymous.
But each and every one of them does their part to make the world a happier place to be.
This life insurance commercial will remind you that giving takes you out of yourself. And when giving results in an experience of joy, peace, love and community, the process of expansion has begun.
Do you believe in good? What have you done lately to give back to society?
