There’s a right time to set fire to your friend’s armpit hair, and there’s a wrong time to set fire to your friend’s armpit hair.
That’s a lesson several Boise, Idaho teens learned the hard way after one teen crashed his Ford Bronco after his 16-year-old friend decided to light his armpit hair on fire. While the teen is said to have been speeding and driving erratically before the crash, he was still in control of the vehicle — something he lost once he became distracted trying to quell the white hot flames engulfing his underarm.
The understandably freaked-out driver and his passengers survived a nasty crash when the car flipped over and landed on the side of the road, launching two teenage girls from the backseat out of the vehicle. Although none of the four passengers were wearing seat belts, because those are for losers, they all survived the crash relatively unscathed.
Three of them were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Originally, 18-year-old driver Tristan Myers initially lied, saying that he’d swerved to avoid an animal in the road, presumably to convince authorities that he and his friends weren’t total idiots, but the truth came out after police spoke to all the teens.
Myers was cited for inattentive driving and the 16-year-old passenger was ticketed for interfering with the driver’s safe operation of a vehicle. Currently, there’s no word on the condition of Myers’ armpit hair, but we pray for its well-being.
