Mariah Carey’s “Vision of Love” came true last night.
Following Barack Obama’s momentous reelection, megastar Mariah Carey released a new song as tribute to the reelected president’s next term. The “Vision of Love” pop diva has been a long-time supporter of the commander in chief and his campaign for presidency.
The slow ballad, “Bring it on Home,” has a poignant and moving melody while the lyrics reiterate values of community, unity and strength as expressed in Barack Obama’s historic acceptance speech last night. Carey sings, “But when it comes down to win or lose, don’t give up the fight/cause strength is what we need and love can save our lives.”
The song had originally been performed at a fundraiser for President Obama’s campaign last summer, but the recorded version was just released by Germaine Dupri and re-tweeted by Carey.
