On October 3, 2012, 17-year-old Jake Evans shot and killed his mother and sister in their North Texas home.
In the 911 call above, he spends 20 minutes explaining to a dispatcher how he murdered his mom Jamie Evans, 48, and his 15-year-old sister Mallory.
“It’s weird,” he said. “I wasn’t even really angry with them. It just kind of happened. I’ve been kind of planning on killing for a while now.”
Allegedly, he was inspired to kill them after watching the Rob Zombie film Halloween.
It is thought that Evans’ father was out of town on business when the shootings occurred.
“I know now that I’m done with killing. It’s the most dreadful and terrifying thing I will ever experience and … will haunt me forever,” he wrote in his confession.
He was later sentenced to 45 years in prison.
