A three-year-old girl allegedly came back to life during her funeral ceremony in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.
The Philippine Star reports on the incident:
[Police inspector Heidi] Teelan said while they were not the proper authority to confirm the medical case, but based on the accounts of the child’s parents, the 3-year old girl experienced severe fever for days and was brought to the clinic in the town for medical attention last Friday.
“During that time, the attending clinic personnel and physician confirmed that the young patient had no more pulse and was clinically dead last Saturday morning about 9 a.m.,” Teelan said.
While arranging the coffin, an attendee noticed the young girl’s head moving. Then, someone checked her pulse and they realized she was actually alive.
After being examined at a hospital, she was allowed to return home with her family.
“We really cannot make confirmation on the status of the girl but based on the observation of the police personnel I deployed it appeared the girl remained in a state of comatose in their house,” said Teelan.
We’re not sure whether this story is part of another elaborate Internet hoax or the real deal, but despite allegations that the toddler survived, a Facebook page called Noypistuff posted a photo of the girl and said that a Municipal Health Officer of Aurora confirmed she was officially dead following a cardiac monitor assessment at the girl’s home.
