Luke Bryan Dominates Third Annual American Country Awards

Luke Bryan must have not wanted last night to end.

The country star swept the third Annual fan-voted American Country Awards at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The fun-loving singer won all nine awards he was nominated for, including Artist of the Year, Single and Music Video of the Year for “I Don’t Want This Night to End,” and album for Tailgates and Tanlines.

“Rarely am I rendered speechless, but I truly am,” Bryan said of winning the awards. “I always take fan voted awards and cherish them. They are dear to my heart.”

Jason Aldean, whom Bryan joined on his “My Kinda Party” arena tour this year, won the Touring Artist of the Year award. Also appreciative o the fans, Aldean said “I couldn’t win an award that means more to me than something that has to do with touring. Because that to me, is what I really try to build my career around. We’ve been playing sold out shows and that means more to me than anything.”

Another big victor was Miranda Lambert who took home three guitar trophies, making her the second biggest winner of the night. She won Female Single and Female Video of the Year for “Over You,” that she cowrote with husband Blake Shelton.

Other ladies at the top included Carrie Underwood who won the Female Artist of the Year award and an emotion Lauren Alaina who was over the moon about her New Artist of the Year win.
