It looks like Madonna and the advertisers working on her perfume ads are nostalgic for the early 1990s. Madonna, in the new ad for her perfume “Truth or Dare: Naked,” shows off the same pose she had with the release of her album, Erotica, over 20 years ago.
Earlier this year in April, she launched her first fragrance called “Truth or Dare” in New York. But it’s this new fragrance, sold exclusively at Macy’s, that’s drawing our attention with its rather sexy and bold ad campaign that reminds us all of her former nude glory.
Although we appreciate the reminder of better times, “Truth or Dare: Naked” deserves the bare truth: We aren’t totally sure what type of consumer this racy ad campaign is intended to persuade, since men aren’t the ones buying the perfume.
